About

Turing 2012: The life and works of Alan Turing is hosted by the Department of Philosophy at De La Salle University-Manila. The event is presented in cooperation with the College of Computer Studies and College of Liberal Arts of the same institution. It is part of the global effort spearheaded by the Turing Centenary Advisory Committee in celebrating the Alan Turing Year. Turing 2012 aims to:
  • commemorate the centenary birth anniversary of Alan Turing by highlighting his contributions in several academic fields,
  • create a venue where academicians from across disciplines can discuss their researches on the areas influenced by Turing, and
  • show the youth the significance and value of public advocacy in changing attitudes as exhibited in Turing's case.
